# Le monde de la mer

Blijkbaar zit ik nog steeds in m'n French era, want zo rolde ik zomaar [*Le Monde de la mer*](https://archive.org/details/lemondedelamer00fr/page/n10/mode/1up) in. Een onderzeese klassieker uit 1866, getekend door ene Christian Horace Bénédict Alfred Moquin-Tandon. Zo'n naam zet je niet op een boek, dus deed 'ie het onder pseudoniem: Alfred Fredól. Veel chiquer. En die platen? Kwallen, koraal en allerlei kabbelend gespuis, stuk voor stuk prachtig. Beats me hoe je dit anderhalve eeuw geleden zo strak op papier kreeg, maar j'adore.
