# Shurinzu

De Shurinzu is een Japanse encyclopedie van vissen en waterdieren uit de [Edo-periode](https://www.kekness.nl/tag/vintage/). De collectie werd in opdracht van Matsudaira Yoritaka gemaakt en staat bekend om verfijnde technieken en bijna driedimensionale realisme.

De [illustraties](https://www.kekness.nl/tag/illustration/) dienden niet alleen een wetenschappelijk doel, maar worden vandaag de dag bewonderd als meesterwerken van de traditionele Japanse kunst.
